Hi Martin,
I have started on the building of the radio/navigation equipment in the
wheelhouse. These are based on the pictures I took in the wheelhouse of
the Mersey when I was last in Scarborough.

The front
of the scanner screen is a photo-reduction of an actual display from the
web site of the radar system manufacturer with the control knobs added on
top.

The scanner
is now fixed to the console in the navigators position along with all the
seats, except the one at the radio operators station as the circuit
breaker board under the radio table has yet to be fitted.
I have also made the first section of the radio system. This is made from
card etc with the fronts produced in photoshop and glued in place. The
handsets are made from old button cell batteries, dowel, coiled stiff wire
and body filler and can be lifted off their cradles as per original,
unfortunately at this moment in time I have not yet found a way of
producing an operational radio at this scale!! ( no doubt it can be done
but not by me!!!!)

Next job
will be the circuit board under the table so that the last seat can be
fitted !!
