Hello again, the fittings factory has been in production again!! The towing 'gobeye' has been finished and is ready to fit.

The foredeck tool cover has been completed and fitted to the front of the superstructure. This has allowed the anchor fittings to be fastened in place.

The working stem roller fitting has also been made and fitted onto the reinforcing plates at the bows. This fitting operates and hinges as per the original and yet is only 1" high.

From the left:

1) the mug holder with removable mugs fitted

2) the handheld radio on its charging base

3) the flares in their ready use rack, each flare is removable

4) the torches in their rack, again each torch is removable (at the moment they are non-working but I am looking for small, key ring torches to replace them!)

I have also started on the stern towing frame. This shows the main frame casting laminated from Plasticard ready for the detailing to be added .

The Scarborough Lifeboat has also acquired a new crew member!! At the moment with the cold weather the hull is out of the workshop and in the kitchen to allow work to carry on, unfortunately it is sitting on the worktop where my wife's cat, Procul, likes to sleep so she decided to inspect the inside of the hull!

More to come soon!!!

Bye for now Mike
True Mersey Lifeboat Nutter!!!!!
