Hi All,

I thought you may like to know what I am getting up to now that I have sold my 1/6th scale Mersey. That model is now residing North of the Border in Rosyth with its new owner!

Since there is now a big hole in my life, sad isn't it?, where my Mersey passion used to reside I have decided to fill it with another BIG Mersey! However this will not be a 1/6th scale model

BUT A 1/3rd scale model!!!


This will produce a model of 3.9mts in length and 1.3mts beam. At this size I will not be using radio control but will be able to sail in it!!!!!!
As yet I have not decided upon the final propulsion system but it will be electric motors of some description. I have bolted the stem and stern posts to the main keel section and will be joining the two sections together after I have marked out all the positions for the bulkheads.

These pictures show the keel in place on the building slip, the bow is facing to the left and is higher then the stern.

I will send you updates as the build progresses as usual.

......... By the way these new jackets that my wife has bought for me are funny, all the buttons are up the back and the sleeves seen to be sewn up at the cuffs!!!!!!!
