I just received 2 hull kits from Andy. They are excellent quality and survived the Atlantic crossing with no problems. Thanks for all the advice and now I can highly recommend Models by Design.

Hi Jason
I purchased a hull and a set of plans from Models by Design December 08. The hull was excellent quality; I will certainly use them again.
good luck with the build.

Looks like a piece of ply bonded to the keel and the motor mount screwed in place .

lovely model FC !

are the fenders the ones from cap maquettes ?- in silicon ? if so be warned they in time degrade and split and come off the top section, ( plus being solid silicon they sink  ! )

i had quite a few of these on my fishing boat, all of them split and cracked as the silicon aged.... takes about 2  years for them to go 'bad'

i replaced 'em with the resin ones from macs mouldings !

Hi Guy, yes they are and thanks for the warning. That's quite disappointing as they're not cheap to buy.
I'll keep my eye on them.
