About 5 years ago I started a new project, building a wonderfull motoryacht from Fairline, the SQUADRON 52'.
Most should be scratchbuild on a hull, I had in my workshop. This hull was a 1/10th near scale SeaRay 380, but the project was stopped and the hull was over. So I lenghten the glassfibrehull by cutting the aft third, laminating a middlepart from the hull first and then this was glued between the cutted parts.
Here are pics of the original:

On the deck, made from expanded polystyrene and balsawood, I built up the superstructure with balsawood and polyurethane foam, normally used for cooling boxes at trucks between the aluminium surfaces.
After filling the surface after first sanding I glassed on 49g/mē with epoxy, to get a stronger surface. The frames for windows were done with soldered brass-wire 2mm dia.
For all this work, I needed about 2 years. Then I had no more time for a while, cause I had to move to another house and workshop. In 2006 I have had serious cardiac problems, so I gave away this project to a friend from Belgium.
