@ Doug; sorry to say i wont be able to bring the Inflexible to Ron's open days, i allready have the car full of people, which only leaves room for a smaller boat, which shall i bring the Furie or the Lis Terkol.

yes Geoff, they are models in their own right... its taken long enough to finish these little Ba****ds....
and theres still 6 to finish off...
slowly but surely I'll get there

hopefully by the end of the year everthing will be compleat, and i can publish a photo of the finished model.. which i am sure your all waiting for..

I really love following your build developments on this thread.  I too have recently completed a set of Deans ships boats for my cruiser so can especially appreciate the detail craftsmanship involved here.  I wanted to ask, is this to be a static display model or an RC ship? I did notice some internal wiring on an early photo.  Freeboard is very limited with this superb Coles turreted model, although you do have raised lips under the turret bases.
Please keep posting photos and info.  Definitely a Masterclass series.  Awesome!

@ Dave; a Dreadnought, very nice.... like to see her sometime... i am helping a friend down the road with his Hannibal, he is in the very early stages.

@ Bob; me in the Masterclass, why thanks very much..  %)   %)
i do have a 3rd class protected cruiser in the pipeline, one of the Pelorus class.
yes Bob my Inflexible is and will be an RC ship, just looked back in the thread and noticed that i did not publish a photo of the internal electrics, she is running 2 x 12v Buehlers, and will have 3 x 12v Gel panasonic batteries, the ESC is from Action a P94 ESC/mixer set at mode 3 with about 70% mixing.
eventually once she is finished, and taking into account that i qualify, she will hopefully be taking part in the World Championship that are being held in Denmark in the year 2015, not to sure were the World Championships will be held in 2013, have been trying to persuade the MPBA to hold them in the UK at Beale park.

hope you all dont mind me posting some more pictures.... after the comments in other threads...

the build continues;

the rear flying deck is nearing completion, most of the fitting have been glued in place.

what still need to be compleated;
the ships boats davits need to be attached to the sides of the flying deck, then the ships boats attached to the davits.
the rear mast, needs painting then the rigging can be attached, and the yard arms still have to be made.

I will definitely be at Deans Open Day next year, and looking forward to seeing your HMS Inflexible close up and on the water - hopefully on the new big pond being constructed.  With both my WW1 warships, maybe even the K boat too by then.
Thanks for all the useful tips  O0

sorry its been a while, but the build continues.

over 30 single little blocks that i had etched for me, there not in the kit.

first of all a before and after photo.

the blocks are made up out of four parts, two round disks, the main outer block and the pin through the middle
first of the the two round disks are joined (laid on top of each other) then the outer block part is bent into shape, the disk is then slotted into the outer block part, once in position the pin is slotted into place, once painted, they can then be attached to the Davits and ships boats, one down six to go.

the rear flying deck is really starting to take shape, the rear mast is nearly complete, then all that is left to do, is a lot of rigging.

I still say this build should be moved to the Masterclass section.   :-))  :-))  :-))

I know the rules say iy must include photos underway on the water.  Just say where & when and I'll be pleased to bring a camera  O0
