Bryan, is this an actaul vessel?  I have never seen a paddle steamer with a beam engine exposed like that.  Does the beam move with the paddles?

It's a shame she isn't stable but it would also be a shame to not see it on the water every now and then.  The beam engine moving with the paddles would look amazing!

The beam engine can move being belt driven from one of the paddle engines. My engineering was a bit "sticky" at first bt eventually got it working more or less smoothly. Bryan
