my next build is gona b the sutton workboats 8mtr catamaran Manx Cat PL.2, scratch build, drew the plans up tday from photos and measurements of the real thing, so need  a trip to the copy shop to enlarge plans and a sheet of ply then i can get cracking on the saw!

I noticed in Dave's article that the Boy Shayne has different bow & stern sections Darren. Also in Suttons ad it mentions much bigger boats, I guess they are still on the drawing board.

time for an update
 had few other bits on the go plus work and family so slow progress with this1, and a shape of model ive never attempted before so a new learning curve
build from plans i drew myself , started with cutting frames and assembling on keels, then sides inplace then deck
 was strugling for ideas on how to shape the bilges and bulbus bows, settled on using flower arangeing foam and its spot on, filled all between frames and shaped bilges and made bows from it, then going to filler over the top and sand smooth, well, thats the plan anyway!

those anti roosting spikes don.t scare gulls much do they?

think there only he cable ties holding the netting on with tails left on! that seagull on stern certainly dosnt look botherd!

bit of an update, got 4/5 layers of filler on now n sanded smooth, need couple more yet, any ideas what b best for a top coat to seal the filler? its not to go in water, just to keep it solid

gettin there, slowly! hull coverd with filler and now going to b fiberglassed, can crack on with the wheelhouse n that once hulls complete

Looking good I think ...... re seagulls - try ringing Macs Mouldings he has a few (not everything is on his webpage though)
