my first scrath build jet boat

hello as some of u already no i have been harping on about building a jet boat for long time finally i have started here is my progress any advice please feel free to help, motor is a 3000kv brushless the wood is 3 mm ply :) sorry about some of the photos not being great

I don't no really it's nothing special to scale it's just like a little rapid boat like the nqd jet boat :)

wont 3mm ply make it a little heavy ? both of my dorys have been built in balsa , with the outer surfaces being coated in polyester resin & a fine tissue matting  . this has kept the overall weight to a minimum ! the first model waas just 15 inches in length






my current build has been enlarged to 24 inches overall , using the same construction methods , 5mm bulkheads / keel , the aft section of the hull is skined in 3mm while the bow area is double diaganel in 1.5 mm , ive not yet weighed the hull but will post some photos later

That's what my dad thought at first but after feeling the weight of the wood he said it's a light weight ply so dunno could be ok I'm painting the inside today before making the top later and then more filling sanding and smoothing ready for paint I want her on the water by the end feb :)
