New guy from Buxton
« on: March 09, 2012, 09:56:09 am »

Just joined and my interests are UK working boats..... Humber Keels, Thames barges etc. I've built and raced tethered hydroplanes at Hull and Kingsbury and currently race RC stock cars. I'm looking for a little relaxation!!

Hi Bob.

Welcome to mayhem. Have a look around and enjoy yourself. See all the sections on different craft and you might find a section that interests you enough to have a go at building one.   :-))

Hi Bob

Welcome - friendly bunch here - jump right in.

Are you going to build something non racing then?
I keep promising to build a Springer tug - loads of
scope for zany ideas - there's a very long thread
on them - worth browsing the pictures even if you
never build one - some are very funny.

Pm me when you start a build and I'll watch it  ;D :-)

First build will be Biilling Thames barge (Will Everard) and the next 2 will be scratch builds........Colchester Smack and Trent motor barge. On the tug front it's pushers only!!! I've done 2 vintage hydros both McCoy 29 powered although one isn't quite finished...both built from plans. I'll try and work out how to post photo's although I've not attempted it on other forums and all the children are away this weekend.
Thanks for the welcome.

What a coincidence; when I bought my Hales Spraymaster the nice chap handed me a boxed
Biilling's Will Everard for free as I left. He said it had been on the shelf for years and he only
modelled planes. So I will really enjoy your build with interest now. We're all picture addicts on
here Bob.
