No but that would be a great idea! hmm  {:-{ may have to think about adding one..

That is an electric water pump. I originally had a ram pump connected to the engine but it was dragging it down too much and erratic. I built a servo ram pump but it was too slow and it had to run all the time to keep up with the demands of the engine.

I found this 12V DC pump and it works great and was only $25 USD. It will pump 600ml a minute at 80 psi.

I don't have really any info on it. I bought 3 of them from a guy on ebay. I'm sure they are made in China as everything else. I have tested the pressure,amperage and fill rate with my boiler. The fill rate does slow down with max pressure but still better than anything I've tried before.

The automatic water level controller.. or whatever you want to call it {:-{

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnR6F5sHy_M&feature=youtube_gdata

Description:
A water level control relay timer I made for my model boiler to control the water pump when the water level get low. Both LEDs turn on when the probe has no conductivity. The right one turns off when the probe has conductivity but the left LED and relay are on a timer and will keep the pump running for 7 seconds then turns off.

I used a board I got off of ebay for $10 USD and a timer relay board I bought from Amazon for $28 USD. Made the probe using Teflon tubing and some scrap rod. I know I didn't reinvent the wheel and it's probably been done different , better.

For those that are not good with electronics or don't want the hassle might want to try Bill Fords device here www.wldssystem.weebly.com I have had two on my locos and it really is a great device and small.

I've got a little further so here are the pics. Still have allot of weathering to do and a few more details. Did a maiden voyage a couple of weeks ago and it ran great! My video camera crapped out so no video of that yet but I bought a new camera so I should be able to get video this next weekend if the weather is good.

Found a little funnel in the kitchen and thought it would make a nice coal bucket. Yeah the wife is not happy (about that and the mess in the spare bedroom) but it did turn out nice.

Got the fan to work in the companionway so I could get more air to the burner and built a smoke stack as well. Also cleaned up the cable on the winch.
