Electrolube epoxy resin
« on: August 12, 2012, 04:28:54 pm »

Hi I wondered if anyone had used Electrolube black epoxy for use as caulking, we use it at work for potting thermocouples and often wondered if anyone had used it before with success ? It's purchased From Farnell.

Regards

This is how the product comes you remove the bar in the middle and the two parts mix together, it air dries around 20 degrees C.
And also here is the link for anyone interested.

I would think if you used a syringe you could needle it in not entirely sure it will stain, I'm going to do some tests when I start my Huntsman,
You never know it could be the solution to the problem.

Many years ago I used a similar system for gluing insulated rail joints together. We used to prepare the pack in warm water before mixing.

It would be interesting to see the results.
The syringe method could work but it would be slow going and my concern would be the resin starting to go off in the syringe

Might work using the sharp card technique used in filling engraved panels with paint.
