Thanks for your comments, Peter and Ken, It was two years in the making, but well worth the effort.
As for 1/12 size Rottweiler I would not be able to lift it at my age.

Sorry a little off topic, but why do they call it a "maiden" voyage?

"Maiden".......another name for a virgin.........."a first", "not been done before", never undergone the "trip"........anymore explanations needed before I get the red card??????

Yes Neil, it is Fairhaven lake, but how you got that from the photos is beyond me, but Fleetwood aint so far away.

Lance, I only use that cradle to carry it about in the car , stops it rolling about, use straps to launch.

Hi Stuart,
Used Graupner 700BBturbo running on two 12v 5000 nimh batteries.
You will have to let me have a circuit diagram for your brushless motors, how long do you get on the water on one battery charge,
Regards

I'm a member of the club Gerard, but never seem to get the time to go down...it was the bench and table, and the bouy in the lake, lol

Make sure you order your custard/vanilla slices before he gets there! lol. Wish I could come as well but bit too far for me.Strangely enough I must have been to Fairhaven at least 20 times and have never yet been lucky enough to see a model boat on the water!I will have to time it right for next years visit.
Mick F.
PS It looks to be a good lake for modellers?
