Italian Breda 20/65 automatic gun
« on: August 21, 2013, 10:50:04 pm »

Hi,
I wonder if anyone out there can help?

I'm looking for drawings and quality pictures of the Breda 20/65 .
I'm building the Italeri MAS boat and the gun moulding seems a bit " blobby"

Any help would be appreciated
Cheers longshanks

Thanks for that Martin.
Interesting !
Been on English Wiki and it was very poor for pictures.
Much better results on the Italian Wiki !
Can I ask someone to 'Google' Motor torpedo boats in Italian for me and post links for pics
Cheers longshanks
PS still looking for scale drawings

Many thanks Christian, that's invaluable to me !

I have the Aber etch set and when I started to look I felt the kit needed to be sharpened up a bit.
As you've got E Bagnasco book could I be cheeky and ask one more question?
Am I right in assuming the MAS boat hulls were double diagonal planked?

Anyone out there got any quality pics of the gun I'm still looking. Its going to have to be obscure though, I've been googling MAS and Breda in any connotation I could think of for weeks.

Thanks for looking

Hi Longshanks

Double and triple diagonal, the scantlings for the successive MAS batches got heavier as the earlier boats were found too fragile.

I will have a good look in the book on the w/e and let you know more.
