The midlands ME is a far bigger show including all forms of model engineering not just model boats , the Blackpool show is a specialist boat show.
As for all the traders being there though
Some of the specialist model boat traders are at Blackpool, But the larger modelling traders doing a wider range of products such as modelling tools ( SM Tools ), specialist model paints ( phoenix paints ), Specialist adhesive manufacturers ( FiveStar Starloc Adhesives ), metals ( noggin end, college engineering ), people like peatol lathes, tracy tools, permagrit etc are at the midlands ME.
A lot of people go to both shows, as there is far more available in the way of materials, specialist modelling tools, solders, adhesives etc at the midlands ME as it caters for a wider range of modelling
For a specialist model boat show there is of course what must be the largest specialist model boat show in the UK at the same venue in November, so we do this model engineering one and that model boat one
Like most of the larger companies trading at events like this we do a range of shows , so this week a model engineering one, next week model aeroplanes, couple of weeks later the specialist model boat show at Warwick , the same day as Warwick there is ` Scale Model World ` at Telford, couple of weeks later a wood working exhibition in Harrogate, week after that a classic car show in Europe
Like many traders we need to pick a specialist one, in each field nd still fit them round trade shows like Nuremburg toy fair in January etc
Like I say a lot of people do go to both as the midlands ME is 4 days so go mid week to Warwick and Blackpool at the weekend.
