In order to solve the problem of steam engine V4 (single-direction of rotation) we will introduce a simple and practical system of variable-pitch propeller, and perhaps other engines will be able to use it. This is the initial design plans.On it, I would like to hear other people's recommendations.Jin

I would be very interested to see some drawings, in particular the actuating lever details.

I have a 35" River Queen steam launch fitted with a variable pitch propellor and it works very well. It has a single cylinder Graham VR1A engine. The prop unit was made by a Japanese company called WADA of Yokohama I think and I have seen an advertisement from a 1980's magazine which from memory was for Maxwell Hemmings selling them in the U K. I also have a very large Raebocsh prop unit to try one day. In my opinion reversable props are by far the best way to control steam engines that cannot be reversed and it would be good if you could start producing them again Jin. Cheers, Ian.
