Looks like I'm missing another good show, sorry I'm not there to support you Klunk, I've seen that penguin somewhere else too! I'm stuck in Akrotiri for another 5 weeks >>:-(
The 12 hour shifts are starting to wear thin!
Keep posting pictures, at least I can enjoy the show from afar :-))

Nice to meet some familiar faces again at the show, and a special personal thanks to Phil "Spooksgone", who rescued me from the ravages of 'Warwick Friday Voicegone' by offering to fetch a coffee for me. He wouldn't hear of being repaid for it and disappeared almost before I could thank him properly.
Phil - good on yer, mate!

Day 2 of the show and a few more smudges of ships that caught my eye:

Long range shot of the Greater Shirted Boat Martin - a quick bird which proved very difficult to photograph in the wild!!!!

Sorry for the blurred image, but my little 'point and shoot' was on extreme zoom.....

I was glad to see some examples of Alex McFadyen's work on display - I never tire of inspecting his models:

However, my favourite model of the whole show has to be this beautiful model built by Colin Vass of HMS Warspite:

  Love the Richelieu and Valiant!

I'd be eternally grateful if someone would take some close-ups of that Fairmile C and post them.

Great to meet up with a few people , buy some gear and look around the Clubs, and despite the bad weather in the morning it cleared up later in the day, Not that that mattered really as all indoors...

I have taken some pictures, not as many as usual and not as good as the ones above , however if you wish to view them, please visit here.

Wow thanks for everyone uploading pictures and I'm devastated that I missed Klunk the Penguin!
Looking forward to next year's show, definitely attending and displaying for 2016- three of my boats were on the Wicksteed Stand so I apologise to anyone who was interested in them but being stuck at Akrotiri kind of spoils things! See you all in 32 days! :-))

Just got back after a great day at the show and this is the third year we have been and must say that unlike most things in life this show gets better every year.
Anyone who says great skills and workmanship are dead should have gone some, of the craft many photographed and posted by Martin were sensational. It all made me feel like a rank beginner.
Looking forward to 2016 show.
Thanks to the organisers for a spectacular event and I wish to know who is going to replace the magnificent Manx boys in best stand in show.

Regards Chris G

Some absolutely amazing images that their builders must be proud of

On question....HM Warspite ...I don't think Mr Voss is a member here......she is depicted as post repairs in 1942 from the US......

In the images he is depicted with a great number of her Ratings in Karki coloured dress or uniforms...??

Was this normal dress wear for battle?...........but still a brilliant model....

The actual image is in .....Reply #133 on: Yesterday at 09:11:48 PM »
