Tug - Kenny RIP
« on: May 20, 2018, 02:25:13 pm »

It is with much sadness that this morning Ken sadly passed away.
After a illness that sadly took this amazing friend and builder away from us . He is now in a much better place where he can rest in peace and be happy building in trucking/boating heaven .Rest in peace good friend of ours and you will never be forgot by us or those close to you . Xxxxxxxxxx

That is so sad to hear. I thought Ken had been a bit quiet of late. He helped me with how some things worked on the forum, and his threads were always something to look forward to.

He was enthusiastic and skilled and spread this across a number of hobbies and, going by his posts, did them all with relish.

Rest in peace Ken, the forum will be a bit less complete without you  <:(

Rest in peace Ken Bach
Loved all of your builds and
the famous sinking of Aziz at Wickie.
Can't make it next weekend,
but a tribute may be in order Martin?

I met him several times and we enjoyed some jokes on here and other contact. A very nice man and I am so sorry to hear this sad news.
He was always a real asset to this forum. Some of his models here including the sinking in 2007.

could you please ask ken's wife what his favourite charity was, Dus, as I would prefer to donate in his name to that rather than flowers, if ok with you.

thank you, neil.

It was with great sadness I felt when Stavros rang me with the news
As salvage contractor to Ken & Red Pelican (on the first Mayhem) we have been in contact ever since.

Like us all, we are going to miss his humour, his build threads and his great company.

Happy sailings pal

I will miss Ken, not only as a fellow moderator, but also as an on-line friend. I never had the privilege of meeting Ken, living as I do in Australia, but we were often in contact by PM or email on Mayhem matters, or simply on matters of common interest. I knew he was not well, and hadn't been for some time, but he was always positive, even when the outlook was bleak.

I join with the other moderators and, I'm sure, with all Mayhem members, in offering my sincere condolences to his wife and family at this saddest of times.

I will miss him greatly. RIP Ken.
