Literally waiting for primers and paints to dry.
Also filling and shaping some corners on the bulwarks.
3d printers may be quick, but if the files are soft, you'll get soft prints.
The area where the bulwarks turns in toward a gangway gate is particularly warped.
So, while looking at Smit tug references I noticed that I had not put the
straps over the 'tootsie roll' fenders on the bow and stern of my tug.
The straps are made up of Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/8" (3mm) is the smallest
width, so I cut six inch 150mm, lengths, and ran a bead of white glue down
the length. This will hold the webbing together, and stop runs and stray threads when
I cut ... try to cut it down to 1/16" (1.5mm) widths. Taping the ribbon down on the
cutting board against a thin straight edge helps.
