Sir Walter Raleigh
This is the Deans Marine Compact Kit of the tug tender of 1908 stationed at Plymouth for the Great Western Railway and is Ready to Run.
Scale1/96 Length 485mm Beam 130m
It is the original Model Boats review kit and has always been kept in a box in a dry environment.
It has not been sailed very often as I tend to spend more time building than running my boats, but the battery has been regularly charged. No warranty is given on the battery which can be readily replaced when necessary.
The model is powered by two cassette player motors controlled by an ACTion P82 MicroMotor Mixer and two P52A speed controllers which allow everything to be run from the RX output via the mixer. A single 4.8v NiMH 3800sub C battery pack provides the power for the radio and motors with an on deck switch and can be recharged via an on deck socket for which a charging lead is supplied.
The model comes with a 2.4 GHz 2 channel Acoms Techniplus TX/RX radio.
Although a fair weather model due to its small size, the boat is very responsive to the control and fun to operate.
Pickup from Cranleigh, near Guildford, Surrey or I can deliver within a 30 mile radius for the cost of the fuel.
If there is no interest on here then it will probably go to eBay.
