Title: The War Illustrated
Post by: Martin13 on April 13, 2008, 10:06:08 am
Maybe some of you may know about 2 books I have in my posession. I cannot remember whether there were 5 or 7 books in the complete set. When my family migrated to Australia from Malta, these 2 books were part of their luggage and the rest of the set are now at the bottom of the ocean near Eden. A relative were bringing the rest of the set but their ship SKAUBRYN sank in 1958-fortunately they survived.

The books depict the war day by day and the photo's and stories are incredible. I have taken photo's of several pages including news on the "Battle of River Plate"

I hope you find them of interest...

There were ten books Martin made up of magazines bound into a fine set of books.
My father had the set which were handed down to me.
My ex wife somehow ended up with them, damn.
They were my favourite read as a kid.
