Sorry Martin."Hey , whose robbing this coach, you or Kelly?"
Details are scale related. What might pass as detail at 1:96 is nowhere near the detail required at 1:12. Perhaps you should have another rethink?
Personally I would go for "Quality of Workmanship" no matter what the scale. I thing "g-George" would be a front runner on that one.

Martin, A great idea, simple and easy to understand. Leave it as it is and some great results will come in. :-) :-) :-)So where is your nearest Argos Barry ? {:-{

Oops, I thought that was the skipper {-)
How about "Detail" from a modellers point of view? (of varying scales!)
BB, isn't that the clinker dinghy you did an article on in Model Boats? Beautiful work :-))
Peter.
This is a figure on my Gun Boat. He is reading a model boating magazine, not kidding.
Not missing the point at all. In common with most modellers I have a huge collection of little details of full size ships. The forum would be absolutely swamped if we all just posted details of "full size" things. I repeat: as this is a "model boat" forum then the details should be of model details. Your own models or somebody elses, makes no difference.Sorry Martin.

You're missing the point Bryan, it wasn't an offer of discussion. Interpret it as you want but that's the heading.
The subject is "Details" interpret that entirely as you wish.Getting a bit grumpy are we? No need for a pet lip. All I suggested was that the "rules" of the competition should be pics of models and not random shots of full size ships. No "cheers" this time. BY.
This thread is for the competition entries so if you want to open a debate about it then I would suggest that you go ahead on another thread but it won't change what is going on here. If you have suggestions for alternative competitions then feel free to air them, all suggestions would be most welcome and could well form the basis of future threads.
As for censorship, the needles getting a bit stuck on that one, just get some pictures posted and smile a bit.

"Harrier at rest"Looks like an airborne version of the Google-Earth house photographer to me! But I think I would have heard it. BY.
