Title: Robbe Yacht spares
Post by: Dekan on June 28, 2011, 07:26:05 am
I built a Sirius yacht for a friend.. It now needs a couple of spare parts. One of which, the mast bearing, I could probably make up my self, but the other an external hatch cover is a plastic moulding...

When I mentioned that it neededed spare parts to club mates they all laughed and said don't bother. Are Robbe Uk really that bad!

In my opinion yes. The importer is happy to sell boats. If you want spares the german site is the one to
use. But still not good and quick to discontinue spares. This is surprizing for a german company. John.

Isn't that true of most importer/manufacurers.. The only good service I have had in the last 18mths, from a distributer, was from Horizon Hobbys...Its a pity that the Proboat Yachts look a bit too "toy end" of the market

The others didn't seem to carry any spares or have any idea about their legal responsiblitys under the sale of goods act. They just "batted" all the problems back to the retailer

I could not see any  facility to obtain spares listed on the Robbe.de web site

There is a facility on the website to send a question. Its worth a try to ask for the parts you require. John.
