Title: Spektrum tx
Post by: U-33 on February 08, 2013, 07:57:35 pm
Right gentlemen, you know all about surface boats and 2.4gHz radios, so I need your expertise. Anybody recommend a good 4 -6 channel tx that's compatible with a Spektrum MR200 rx? One that I can just bind to the rx and that's it..nothing technical. I don't do technical...I just want to switch the radio on and go sailing.

Your assistance would be gratefully received..

Hi Rich would recommend the Spectrum dx6i, should have no problem with that, i use DX8 only because i fly planes aswell both should be dsm2 compatable.

Rich,

The DX6i is a computer set. The DX5e is a simpler TX. No memories etc, just the normal servo reversers.. I would recommend this as a plug and play set, especially if you don't need the model memories.

PS Its also cheaper :-))

I just need to be able to swap the pistol grip tx that the Volere came with for a stick type tx, Barrie...plus an extra channel to switch the lights and hooter on/off. Maybe the DX5e would be a better bet, then?

Rich,

I would say so. The DX5e has 5 channels and requires no set-up. I had a DX6i but sold it as I found the programming quite complicated. I suppose you could use it without the memories, but even servo reversing has to be set in the program, not just a switch to throw. Just my opinion, but from what you say I think it would be ideal.

That sounds pretty good to me, Barrie...I feel another good thrashing for my poor flexible friend is due.

Many thanks for the help mate...much appreciated.
