Hi all,
looking for a little bit of advice, I'd like to get myself a small inexpensive boat to get sailing with and enjoying while I work on a 'proper' model which will probably take me some time and drive me batty sometimes so something simple to turn to and enjoy would be good.
I came across this http://www.puffinmodels.com/product.php?prod=1684 which seemed a nice little one at a good price to boot. Does anyone have any experience of something like this? Or is it a bit too cheap and cheerful? Doesn't have to be a world beater, just something to tootle about with :)
As I've never made an RC anything before, the electrical side of things is a bit daunting! Is it as simple as that page makes out, just a motor, ESC, Battery and Radio? Connected together in the correct way of course %% If anyone can point me in the direction of an idiot friendly guide to the RC bit that would be great!
Thanks!

Nearly sure someone on here built the MTB version of that hull. Was pre forum meltdown so may be hard to locate.

Same hull and drive gear, only difference is the topsides, three versions from one basic hull form and you can put as much (or little) detail on it and it still looks good.
Fill yer boots mate. :-))

Hi Condeh,
Here's another build thread of the same boat:
http://www.modelbouwforum.nl/forums/bouwverslagen-schepen/181298-bouw-pilot-van-vladyka.html
Basically these kits are easy to assemble.
If there are questions, ask them here, as the combined knowledge of this forum is no match for these kits...
Regards, Jan.
