Hello
I have a Futaba 6EX transmitter and I have bought two Electronize speed controllers to control two Torpedo 850 motors in a large model of a twin engined patrol boat. I have heard the two controllers can be mixed by the transmitter and maybe with the rudder. Has anyone been able to accomplish this and is it straightforward? Equally,is it complete rubbish?
Any help gratefully received!
Dave

Try the " Action" company, they should be able to help.

From experience, mixing on the 6ex is limited and not that easy.
Manual - see page 19:

One of ACTions mixers or mixer/motor controllers are much easier and purpose built.

Thanks to all for the advice.
In my ignorance I have already bought 2off 15amp ESC's from Electronise to control 2 Torpedo 850 motors drawing 11 amps each. It was only later I learnt that the motors should be mixed with the rudders.
Having read and re-read the Futaba manual I do not believe that it is capable of mixing 3 separate channels. The next step is to contact Action and see if they can help.
Thanks again to all,
Dave

Have a look at this first. Use with a y lead on rudder

The products on that link look and read like those from what was Valley Electronics. I was sorry to see them vanish, if they are the same range, good to see them back.

Over the last 18 months, I have bought a zenoah kill switch and a mixer for twin motors from there. They work first time, are relatively inexpensive and come with good clear instructions.
With the mixer, I had a test rig set up for a proposed triple motor fast electric catamaran, a Graupner PX-1. With the gismo from Mr RC world and a couple of y leads effectively I had rudder and throttle working normally on the centre motor ESC and the rudder. The other two esc's worked fine , giving differential power as rudder was applied either way on the outboard motors, which is what I think Metal Mangler needs.
I also use the Futaba 6EX tx's and while it might be possible to achieve the same through channel mixing, I wouldn't like to try it, life's too short!
