I think there was a discussion on here several years ago about trolling from an RC boat. It was pointed out that a fish on the run would not have to be that big to overpower most RC boats, and maybe even drag them under.

Basically you are not fishing from the boat, just putting your line out. You still have a rod and real at the bank.
