Title: A backward facing P on Facebook.
Post by: Big Ada on June 30, 2019, 05:30:49 pm
Hi All,
On one of my FB Pages when I go to write a Post, the Symbol of a Backward Facing P with two legs appears ,when I hover Mouse over it a selection of other symbols are shown.
Is this something I have caused, I also have had difficulty in Posting Photos in the Posts.
Your Help is appreciated,

Len.

It's called a 'Pilcrow', otherwise known as a paragraph mark. As to how it works in facebook I'm clueless, sorry.

In MS word it's in the menu bar and when you click on it all the formatting marks in the document are shown.  So for instance you can tell the difference between a tab and 10 spaces.  Click it on the menu bar again and the marks disappear but they still function.

Sorry I too have no idea about FB - never use it.

If you only get this on one particular FB Group's page, it is a formatting issue particular to that Group. You could message the Group's Admin and ask them to have a look at their Page's settings.

If you have the issue on other forums, it is an issue with your browser settings, possibly Text Encoding.
