Has anyone used one of these Mtroniks Mixer WTAIL to control two motors, I plan to use two Mtroniks Viper 15A ESC's to control a paddle tug.
I have been very happy with Mtroniks ESC's in other models (except for whine, but that with all ESC's today)
I have heard people using the Action items but the Mtronik's are cheaper. Are they as good??

ACTion are repairable, excellent customer service (all you have to do is a search on the forum to find out), place an order with Dave, tell what leads you require, it will be built and tested before shipping and I bet you will have them in your hand within 4 days. The longest I have had to wait was 3 days. Then if you do break it, he will call you a daft sod send it back to him and he will have it turned around in no time.
I am just another very happy customer ;D

I have two 15a Viper E.S.C.s and a Viper mixer in my Yorkshireman. The control is very good and she dances on our pond.
That said I am fitting ALL ACTion gear in my current build. That is sound units, E.S.C. P92 D.B,amp, sound mixer etc etc. Why? SERVICE my boy! SERVICE!

I got 2 ACTion ESC's the throttle \ rudder mixer and distribution board all for Drumbeat. Still to fix them but the service was very good.
Mtronik ESC's are very good but unless you buy the marine versions, are only good for 9.6v.

?? the literature says 6-12v and I run mine on 6v, why do you say only for 9.6v ??

If you're using MTroniks' ESCs then I'd recommend you follow Clegg's example and stick with their mixer. I won't mind.......really!
It's never a good idea to mix different manufacturers' units in an installation like this. At base level, if it all goes pear-shaped at least you'll only have one company to deal with. From our point of view it's impossible to know in such circumstances whether the perceived problem is our unit; one of The Enemy's; a fundamental (electronic) incompatibility, or just a clumsy user!
BTW All ACTion ESCs are low-frequency and don't whine at all (except when you tread on them or make them watch "Reality TV" or forget to put the tonic in their G&T's).
Maybe try our stuff next time? Mayhemmers do get 5% off. ;)

Well went for the ACTion option, 2 x P79 Condor 10/2 ESC and the Mixer P40C, I had wired the model up 6V first bench test looked good, filled the bath for a test and had a glitch, Dave from ACTion helped solve and fix the glitch. I took her out for on water test and I was pleased how it went but with the set up it was a little slow, but all I have done is do rewire the model to 12v which took about 10 mins. now looking forward to another test sail and good years of sailing.
