Title: Looking for ships plans
Post by: SteveA on April 30, 2015, 11:04:43 pm
I am amongst the volunteers working on an old steam powered Admiralty water carrier, named Freshspring and we have been looking for old plans and drawings, but have only come up with a limited number, e.g. general arrangement and docking plans. It was suggested to me that as model ship makers, you guys might have some more ideas of where to look for more drawings.

The 'Fresh' class ships were built from 1940 until 1947 by Lytham shipbuilding, the Lytham heritage centre do not have any drawings for these ships.
We have copies of the three drawings from the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich.
Any suggestions of where else to look would be appreciated.

You can see pictures and progress of the works on the full size one and a few pictures of the 1:32 model we have of her also http://www.ssfreshspring.co.uk (http://www.ssfreshspring.co.uk)
