Title: Custom Transmitters
Post by: tsenecal on April 11, 2017, 04:14:31 pm
A lot of you are probably wondering (or maybe not) why i haven't posted anything more on the arduino robbe multi-prop/multi-switch decoder that i started a thread on here a few months ago...

i got distracted, but it is finished now, so unless distracted by something else, i should have something to post on the decoder soon.

it uses a MCU board purchased here:  http://ar9x.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=57 (http://ar9x.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=57)

and a cheap chinese pistol radio (FlySky GT3b) as its basic frame, and runs firmware called "erskye9x", which allows me to use up to 16 channels for controlling different things like lights and smokers, and has incredible mixing for things like multiple throttles and rudder mixing, or 4 wheel steering on r/c rock crawlers.   I built it with a standard JR style module socket, so by switching modules, i can control any receiver from most of the RTR vehicles available.

The gentleman that made that sub transmitter and sub came to the Grantham MBC year before COVID and was allowing just about anyone to pilot his sub, using that very tactile Tx…..

Nowhere as complicated as those above but the Futaba dates from the early70's
Much easier to work than a standard transmitter as I am left handed.  %%

I built a 16 channel pistol radio for all my scale vehicles:
