Having acquired a new Turnigy Aquastar brushless motor the three leads are all black. Can anyone tell me how to decide which goes where? or are they all interchangeable? (being an AC motor)
-
They are interchangeable. Wire everything up, if the motor runs the wrong way, simply swap any two wires.

Cheers Chris. That's good to know. My confusion stemmed from the fact that some motors are coded red, black and yellow. Piece of mind important with all the other risks associated with LiPo's etc.

Once you have the correct rotation add a small piece of different coloured heat shrink to each cable so you don't get them mixed up if you need to remove it.

What is it with Hobbyking?, they seem reluctant to provide help and guidance with their products. The 'Aquastar' items they retail seem very well constructed but I would have thought it good business practice to make available all necessary assistance.

That is what Mayhem provides.
Stoke asks, Essex replies, Nottinghamshire adds extra info, Colorado explains and Australia will wake up soon to join in.
