What a brain! I once attempted to read his book A Brief History of Time, when it was at the top of the best sellers list. Quite deflated as most of it went over my head and I gave up in the end.
But from science to his later campaigning for the NHS this man has made a massive impact on mankind.

A newer book came out a few years back which was made to be an easier read to understand but even that was over my head!
R.I.P. Stephen Hawking January 8, 1942- March 14, 2018 a true inspiration to us all.

It's so appropriate that his name appears under two separate threads,under Chit-Chat and Humour. He was one of the truly great thinkers who, according to his opposite number from Berkeley (who got a Nobel Prize), made up for not getting one by appearing more times on Big Bang Theory! (as well as The Simpsons and Hitchhiker)

Don't forget he appeared on Star Trek as well, plus he had a vocal part on Pink Floyds Division Bell - Keep Talking........he didn't include the album on his desert island discs though!
