Title: French Tenace Class Tug Conversion
Post by: Z750Jay on April 02, 2018, 08:19:31 am
I picked up a old Artesania Latina Amsterdam tug the other night (The wooden hulled version). It is in need of a lot of TLC as I think it has been 'grandchildrened' and the aim is to use it as a camera/rescue boat for the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team. While refitting she will be changed from the Amsterdam to one of the Tenace class tugs, just to be different. As she will be a working vessel accuracy and detail will come second to practicality.

Tonight I stripped off the old paint from the hull. When I say stripped, I mean pealed it was that flaky! Also removed the portholes as they went right through the hull plus a few other bits that are in the wrong place/will let in water.
