Title: Model Boats plan of Joshua Slocumb's SPRAY
Post by: joppyuk1 on August 05, 2018, 08:03:12 pm
Can anyone tell me which issue of Model Boats (or perhaps the old Model Maker) contained the simple plan for a model of Joshua Slocumb's boat 'Spray'? I built the model then, but it has had a drastic accident, being blown from the shelf it was on and falling down a flight of stairs. I feel like a rebuild. Once I know the month/year I can get a hold of a copy.
Many thanks.

My notes tell me Model Maker January 1966. It was an orange cover illustration.

Not the magazine article but there is a free download of drawings for Spray availble here.

I think I still have a copy of this buried in my old mags. Let me know if you need a scan of them.

Thanks for the information, now I can get onto the Magazine Exchange site and similar. I see I was nearly right about the date, as it must have been on the changeover period from 'maker' to 'boats'.
Chas, if I have trouble finding a copy, I'll be in touch. Thank you for the offer.
