Thanks for your kind comments guys.

I have already started the next project 1000m x 700mm flat bottomed barge for the Springer to play with.  Pics to follow.

Once again thanks for the kind words.

Regards the barge I got the dims wrong it should read 1000mm x 300mm. One thing I did give some thought to was the weight of it. With 7lb of sheet lead under the front deck and the same again under the rear it looked more like a cork than a barge but any more perminant weight would be a pain (probably in my back) when launching. The idea I have come up with is 6 x 2Lt water bottles which fit nicely under the deck hatch.

Ah!

Talisker, R.L. Stevenson actually wrote a poem about that malt, a beautiful after dinner dram for sure.

I like a Balvinie double wood myself, well truth to tell I like all malts.

I'm working on the designs / construction of the 'O' Type and the 'J' Type Springer...

You could take the 'P' if you want...  O0

....not IDEAS Toes, share the drink he meant.  Hmmm J Class, surely not an Americas Cup Thomas Lipton era yacht ????? :o    "O" type could be that circular oddity meant to combat sea-sickness.....and I havent even had a dram yet ! {-)

Malt whisky & model boats must go together, I'll have to do some (more) hands-on research  :D

I'm a Clynelish fan myself, or when I'm feeling flush Lagavulin, they have the taste of the sea in them
