CAD drawn springer plans
« on: May 26, 2008, 01:36:35 PM »

Hi all, some freinds and I have got the Springer tug bug  :D. So here is our attempt at drawing up some plans. If anybody out there who is a springer builder can look them over and let me know if they conform to the rules etc, I would be most gratefull. Also feel free to use them for your own use.

All credit to Innovative-RC for his design skills.

cheers Bob

They look good to me!

.... better than my attempt. CAD sorts out the men from the boys!  O0

Small point but I think "front" and "rear" are marked the wrong way round for the dimensions.

Bob and Robert

Excellent work. (I spent ages trying to scale the other plans to print on A3.)

However I wondered if it would be possible for you to add the waterline to the plans? This seems to be one area that is very unclear. I have set mine at 1.5 inch on the stern and 1.75 inch at the bow. This is from the template and does not include the deck thickness, still not sure if this is correct.

Thanks
Jules

Just one point, it gives the 'depth' stations... but not where they are along the length of the hull.
