1.German harbour launch being converted to a British Admiral's barge. A rather old Krick kit for beginners.

2. A Waverley type lifeboat, "The Scout". This one started by another Mayhem Member and bought by me for finishing.

3. A rebuild of a 40 year old "Waverider" cabin cruiser. My first build. Now nearly finished.

4. A "Loyal Class" Fleet Tender by Model Slipway.

5. A rubber band driven, rear paddle, miniature boat from a toy book. Finished last week with a young visitor from England who needed to sail something/anything in our pool. Now being re-engined!

6. Not building but gathering accessories for a "Tito Neri" which will be renamed "Le Tigre" the nick name of  local born, French hero, Georges Clemenceau.

7. Plans for "HMS Manly" my surname minus the "e" between "l" and "y".

8. Plans for a traditional steam trawler out of Plymouth where I was raised. My maternal grandfather was a fisherman there, before.....

9. "HM Trawler Sapper" lost with all hands including my grandfather in 1917. A minesweeper. All I have is a poor photograph.

10. Plans for "HMS Kent" in Victorian livery on which my uncle died in 1915.

All I need now is a second time around!

Barry, I am going to make a start on a Springer soon. If I get stuck, can I commission you to built one for me?? ::)

Downloaded plans for Springer tug so had better get wood and bits in for that (or them!!)
Am not building a tug yet but have got plans for a couple. Cant remember the names but think one is called the Arnold. Plan by Jim Pottinger.
Just part way through a J-Class yacht, the Rainbow, and in the last couple of weeks managed to place another yacht, the Britannia to where the missus had some of her "bits". Moved "bits" for my boat, she then put them back, I moved them again etc, etc.  >>:-( >>:-(
Cant blame her though. They have taken over somewhat but thats what shelves are for though.
Aren't they ::) ::)
HMS Magpie;
Couple of sixties style speedboats;
Making plans for a scratch build Chinese Junk - hope it doesn't end up junk!!
Must finish off a paddle boat that I started over 18 months ago but I almost hate the thing >>:-(
Am part way through a project that involves separate parts of boats - winch, detailed cabin, engine, etc. Sort of like a showcase showing the parts in more detail.  Hope that makes sense.

1. Finished one just after the bank holiday, " skunk" works haven't "fully" tested it yet though. (all hush hush don't you know ;)), other than static float test, which did not go to plan

2. Pressure of work, boss on holiday in states, hospital appointments etc, means the vospers not moved on from the last report, although the araldite should have cured by now.  ;D

Based upon the first, the second may sink  :embarrassed:

I'm just about to start Le Caux III (The 3rd hull off the privately owned plug).

54 inches long, 1:24 scale French Harbour Tug with twin Graupner Hi-torque 900's and steerable korts.

The photograph is of Le Caux II, owned by my pal Mark.

I am amongst other things having a go at a dock/canal/river tug Little Shuva ,based in Goole and owned by Acasters she is a little tug boat specialy built for ship handling in the docks and in the river ,but dont underestimate her because of her size ,2,000 ton ships are a pushover.

the real thing has an elevating wheel house so when pushing an empty lighter the wheel house can be raised .my interpritation will be loosly based on her and the hull is made entierly from foam sheet ,card and glass-fiber  ,the hull is my design as i have no pics of her out of the water with a single prop in kort (cat tin) and twin rudders  she is very manoverable

TID tug at 1/19 scale (prime numbers are cool). Scratch built including steam plant. Progress has been hindered by not being able to get outside and paint te hull. Photos in due course.
