HMS Dreadnought in 1/72 (seemed a good idea at the time, now I'm not so sure!)

Currently, having a nightmare with the decking, having bought some scribed basswood decking from MicroMark in the USA, which is a great product, but having glued it to the ply sub-deck it's curled at the edges,,,,, I think it'll need to be removed and I’ll have to go back to laying individual planks.....

A very neat & tidy electrical layout there DB :-))...[as an alternative to steam tubes that is]   {-) .......

Just wondering  %)......is there a reason for the 2.00 o'clock + connection and the 8.00 o'clock - connection location when viewing on the motor endcaps?

Very nice job John! Looks like it's morphed itself up out of the plans!

Just finished up the Joffre.

No reason for the position of motor connectors just the way they are mounted but I do like conformity. You may notice all three motors are wired the same way I have as yet not wired them for rotation. The port and centre motors will go one way and the starboard motor the opposite way.

Hey Deadbeat, Just a comment.  It seems your fuses are between the ESCs and the motors.  I usually place them between the battery and the ESC.  Care to comment?  Brian

What you can't see in the photo is the Action distribution board which has another set of fuses which the 12v battery feeds directly into, so there is double protection. I've also earthed the motors, I know there was a discussion about earthing on this forum a little while ago whether it was necessary or not, I did it anyway!

Just bought a Model Slipway 10 hatch coaster, waiting on it's arrival. getting all the required bits n' bob ready to commence building.

Never built anything like this before, but I like a challenge...and with fingers like a pound of Wall's finest pork n' herb, it will be a challenge.

Hi,
I have just pulled the dust sheets off my model of MacBrayne's MV Lochiel, she has lain for about four years unfinished, so that's this winters project!
