Well not actually building but drawing up the plans in readiness to start in the winter.

There's quite a few Huntsman 31 and Swordsman 33 boats around but not many Huntsman 28 and as it's a bit different fancied building one.

I know Veron did a kit a kit many years ago but at 42" it's bigger than I want. I've managed to get a set of the drawings which I was going to scan and trace with a drawing programme but as with the Aerokits Swordsman drawings I've recently redrawn the templates have been very poorly traced around and so I've decided to draw it from scratch making some modifications as I go along. All good fun!

 Hidden deep in the boatyard ( garage!) I have a 48" fibre glass hull which is of a Swordsman or extremely close to it.  Sounds bigger than you want though

Thanks, but yes too big. I've already made one mistake when I bought the Huntsman 31 at 46.5"

I say mistake but it is nicely built, but needs the cockpit area being made more authentic and the motor and gear replacing. I shall do that sometime but for now it will be a display model.

I'm going to be building at 1:12 so even the Swordfish 33 will be manageable.

I'm reworking a Model Slipway 10 hatch coaster, gonna be a present for my brother-in-law

HI Charlie sorry for not replying earlier only seen your post tonight Bernhard gruben comes as a grp hull & deck already joined if you look on you tube and search for Graupner Bernhard Gruben unboxing you will get a guy opening the box and showing everything that's inside very imformative got mine from Cornwall models good service and arrived when they said it would  Regards Bill...

A NEW Gry! That is great news, that means that Jackie and Lawrie are shipping them again! I spoke with Jackie back in November and she said that they will be releasing another batch due to requests to bring it back. I'm on a waiting list, and I can't wait!

Yep I ordered mine first week of November and it came a couple of days before Christmas so not a long wait really, it's a great kit really nice hull and the fittings and plans and templates are really good quality when you get yours and start it don't forget to put photos on

I'm glad to hear that you were on the list at the beginning of Nov. I'm trailing you by a few weeks, as I spoke with Jackie on Nov 28th. I will be watching my email like a hawk now!

well, don't know about you lot or where you live, but up here in Poulton le Fylde, it has rained EVERY SINGLE DAY at sometime in the 24 hours of each day since July 1st 2017, and I am beginning to develop webbed feet.


my garden has been unmowable since then and as I can't sunbathe in it, I have put it to better use...............and once my new build has been completed I will be selling tickets for its inaugural cruise to dryer climes.


will let you all know when availability is registered..............but they won't be going on ticketmaster. >>:-( <*<
