Stainless steel and other bits
« on: November 24, 2008, 07:09:42 pm »

I have a repair/rebuild project on a RMAS Forceful tug and need engineering supplies. Basically its the axles for the paddle wheels and new bearings.

Stainless steel rod 4.8mm Dia, about 600mm long.
Phosphor bronze bushings, with ID to take the above rod.

Any good sources of the above suppiles?

Thanks Mark

I have used these: http://www.mallardmetals.co.uk/

No minimum order, good delivery. No connection, just a satisfied customer.

well you won't find 4.8 in a hurry except from a firm using it to make drills of that size. is it about 3/16 inch. Lots of model engineering suppliers should have that.
If they strike out with the bushes another tack might be robot wars suppliers
