Hello and welcome!
I think it looks great. First build you say? Bravo! I built the Smit Rotterdam some years ago, very similar only a cm or two longer I think. You know you can put r/c in this one? So if you need something to do when its ready, rebuild it with motors!
Keep up the good work!
Hama.

Thanks for the replys so far. I feel as if its taking along time for me to get anywhere. But i keep telling myself thats because im doing it properly and not rushing the job. Hopefully thats the way to go with modelling.

I browsed the other EVT Waker thread from work this afternoon but i feel that turning this into an RC is way ahead of what im capable of doing. But one day maybe i could give it a go. I really like the Maggie M from modelslipway :)

Ok quick update. I magaed to paint the rails tonight also added the life rafts and started to construct the bridge. Also spent an hour painting up the roof of the bridge and construting the radar mast. A little bit more touching up tomorrow and they should be good to go.

Very nice

I've just finished making the Smit Houston (this before it became the EVT Waker) Rather pleased with my airbrushing...

Pics will follow when I get my camera back.

Goes very quickly, only 1/10th throttle or less for scale speed. Planes on full speed. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....
