Someone on good old Facebook has just come up with a good idea...drill two holes though the tyre, thread the rope through, and have the knot inside.

I like that...

Rich , when it's finished , do you want me to put one of our low loaders on to bring it "up north" for the Balne moor pro-am ? You know we can handle the size with our gear   ;)

Keep up with the pictures old boy

You may mock...a Motorflote will run rings round any of these 'ere tugs, even if they 'ave got  rotors.

The rotor tugs have a bridge that rotates Rich
If George's little wheelhouse rotated he might
need a sickbag {-)

Tyre fenders now sorted, they look much better without those horrible great knots. Thanks to everybody who offered advice, much appreciated.

Are the cruciform bollards fixed through the deck Rich ?
Sure as s##t if a tyre catches anywhere if the bollard is
secured by cyano alone it will be ripped off.
Been there >>:-(

Yes Ned, they are...under the bollards and inside the deck, I bonded a section of 2mm styrene, drilled holes through it to correspond with those in the bollards, then screwed the whole lot together with s/steel self tapping screws, and a drop of cyano on the threads to be sure. If they catch on anything it'll pull the whole deck off....

Didn't like that tyre fender on the stern, so a change was called for. A length of chain, a section of 2mm thick rubber sheet, and couple of pieces of 1/16th brass wire resulted in this...I think it looks a bit better.

Oh, and I've run out of styrene angle..again. So nearly finished, now I have to order another pack of the stuff.  >>:-(

Hello Len,

No, not got it wet yet, I still have a couple more strips of styrene angle to fit, plus a spot of filling and sanding to finish off. The paint arrived today as well, so I may spray it first before bath tests take place, not sure yet.

It shouldn't be top heavy, all the weight is down low, with the batteries in the side tunnels...fingers crossed.

Hi,
With the new rear fender it would be a good place for the tugs name?

I'm sure you've given it several already. Just use the one which is easiest to spell and likely to cause the least offence at the pond-side.

Ah...you mean like ''f********* silly thing'' or ''why did I start this b****** thing'....good thinking, DM.

I was just going to put a company name on each side, when I think of something suitable...''Sussex Shoving'' is a contender at the moment.  %)
