Metcalfe Mouldings Lifeboat Alice-Upjohn

Hi All

Has anybody built this lifeboat and if so do they have any pictures of her as she was being built as I find the drawings as supplied pretty awfull to follow mainly around the bulkheads etc.

If you want life/boat plans get in touch with the RNLI at Poole, that way you get the real thing.

Yep. I built one a few years ago. I'll dig out the build pics - mind you - it got altered quite a lot from the kit.

I must mention that the plans supplied aren't correct for Alice Upjohn anyway. She had an offset escape hatch on the top of the main cabin, not on the centreline as shown on the plan. Other boats however did have it on the centreline.
