Italeri Schnellboot S-100
« on: October 03, 2009, 01:28:53 pm »

Hello all!

To get back into this hobby after some time out of it (and to make a change from wood), I treated myself to the above boat (boot) the other week and I am now thinking about motorising it.
1:35 scale with a length of 1000m/m
If it is possible, I would like to go for three motors - as it shows with the three plastic props - and just two channel radio.
There are twin rudders and, believe it or not, there is rather a lot of space inside for the gubbins  %% O0 %)
Any one out there (as if there wouldn't be!) who could point me in the right direction? :-))
Also, any advice regards working with plastic and wiring it up - how to secure the motors - and the best electronics to use. (I suppose that would mean FLJ?!) ok2
If not, then it will just have to be a nice static model.
Many thanks in advance.

Ron, just out of interest and not to help with the hardware but if you have a look at the October issue of Tamiya Model Magazine International there is an article about building this kit as a static model.  I'm sure there will be some interesting hints there and, as always in this magazine, the finished article is superb.

Hi Wullie,

Are you doing a build or thinking of one?
I might do one myself but it will take a long time.
