i had a peek inside the box at my local model store aswell today, very impressive bit of kit and they even give you working size props so you can r/c her.

looks like a lot of hard work to build aswell but would make a nice sub out on the lake  ;D

It's Dave Merriman who is doing the build, not Dave Manley of SWM.

Both Dave Merriman and Dave Welch will be producing dive modules (WTC's for those across the pond) for this model.

It's a handsome looking kit, but not my cup of tea subject wise.

Just purchased the Revell Gato, or rather dad got it for me as an early xmas present.

Its HUGE, my revell type 7 (same scale) is as long as the centre section alone and would probably fit inside it :D. Its approx. 4 1/2 feet long (52 inch.) an inch shorter than dads sheerline trafalgar.

i'm planning on getting Dave Welch's WTC once he has finished developing it.

Will keep you all updated.

Might post some pics in a separate thread soon as i have it dry fixed on the stand.

Think I posted here before, but got little interest!

I have a mould for a 7ft Gato and asked if there would be any interest in casts taken from it, bit late in the year to be doing it now I think, but I certainly will be doing so when the weather warms up a bit.

Anyone interested?
