Is this Esc,suitable for 1/96 HMS Solebay

Hi guys i recently purchased a 1/96 HMS Solebay,it came with the motors and running gear,but no rc,I have Hitec speed controller mod,SP-6/10A  6-8.4v would this be suitable for this type of boat,or alternatively, i have an Mtronics viper marine 15 and a viper marine 25

the main bit of info required wullie
is what type of motors installed?
that is what states the required rating of ESC :-))

Gingyer is right it depends on the motors, but if the motors in a 1/96 warship model are drawing more than 15 amps I think you need to change them.  :-))

Well,that makes two of us,cause i don,t know either,..although i,ve done the deal,i,ve still to collect the boat,which won,t be until next week,..so,we can all meet back here in a weeks time, {-)

Going off the numbers, to get the scale performance, the Hitec would be a bit near its limit for current at its maximum voltage, assuming optimum matching of motor(s) and prop(s).  The 15A ESCs are a much better bet.  It needs something like 65 watts into the motor to go like the real thing.

Hi guys now i have the required info the motors are 2 x Graupner Speed 400,s 6v driving 4mm shafts to  30mm props,
