not sure what the gunk above is, I thought it would just post the pics!!!

pics from  Wardown park, Luton.

pic 1 is a Griffon 600 tdx (large version) powered by 2 brushless motors, coming in for a close up. This is about 10 seconds before she went over the top of the Fusion 400!
pics 2 is the Griffon and fusion 400 (brushed motor version) running in unison on the lake today, no they do not run at the same spees! Many thanks to Alan Izzard the the pic!

Hi Jag,
All up and running, I took it down to the lake last Sunday but the water was quite choppy with a fair wind. As it was also the club 500 racing, I was a little apprehensive about testing it on the water, the most I've done is to whizz it round the house at the moment  :}
I'm waiting for a bit of calm as I don't want to capsize it on my first outing, if possible %)
Cheers

Just to report that I had a great time with the Fusion down at the lake today!
I maidened it with no problems at all :-))
I soon found out that the rudders are ultra sensitive and that as soon as it starts the turn, put some opposite lock on smartish!  {-) The battery I chose was a bit too front heavy as I had to use the one I had chosen in another boat, so I have ordered some more. I just have to get the center of gravity a little way back and it'll be perfect!
Thanks Jag, it's now one of my favourite boats  {-)

Mine was out on the lake today with the Griffon 2000, but we both came off the lake as there was a plethora of SMALL boats down the lake!!

Fellow Fusion-400's owners,

Good to hear that Nigel's Fusion-400 is up and running :-))

Dimension for C of G is in the manual, feedback from your experience using this dimension would be great.

Generally, setting C of G on hard surfaces depends on your preference, battery forward will make the back swing around easier, battery back will make the front light and make turning a bit docile.

When on water with Fusion-400 at full speed, ideally you want the bow wave to start forming 1/4 back from the front.

regards,

Jag

Hi All,

Just to let you know that a full review of the Fusion-400 will appear in the Radio Control Model Flyer in the November 2010 issue. The magazine will be available from WH Smiths during October 2010.

A copy of this review will be available on my website www.modelhovercraft.co.uk soon. :-))
