I believe a number of Warship modellers may want to display under the ModelwarshipsUK banner.

Will this be in order please ?

Do you have to be over the drinking age to come along? as pretty much all of the replies are on beer...?

It's a public park so no drinking allowed during opening hours.
... drinking usually goes on in p-privacy of the camping field.  :-)

Hi there all, if anyone is camping remember their campsite doesn't open until the Saturday. They won't let us camp on the Friday night. I spoke to them today, if they change their opening dates for camping they will let us know. Dave. :)

Friday is always the first day of  the open camping season!  Also this event has been booked for nigh on  a year, and they know we have  people coming to camp. Does that mean the traders cannot setup and camp on Friday as well!!!!!

Hi there Klunk, they've no problem with setting up on the Friday but I've been told 3 times now and again today by Wicksteed Park themselves that their camping season doesn't start until the Saturday so no camping allowed on Friday night unless they decide otherwise. Am just passing on what I've been told. Seems a bit stupid to me, I intend to set up a gazebo on Friday but we're going to have to find somewhere else to stay with our caravan on the Friday night, then bring it to Wicksteed on Saturday, pain in the backside really. Dave.  {:-{

Thats seems like an oversight to me. Its a bank hol  weekend why would they give up the chance to make money from campers?? Very odd. Still ha ho I can't get there till Sunday this year so unless her indoors changes her mind will not need camping

I hope Martin can persuade them too, it's a bit daft not being allowed to camp Friday but they were fairly adamant on the phone about it. Dave. :(

I hope they do let us camp Friday, I'll try it on the day but when I rang up last Friday I did say I was coming for the Model Boat Mayhem weekend and she still said no to Friday camping. Dave.  {:-{
