Bring the one with the biggest engine for me ;)

You'll have to double check with Martin though, he'll have to make sure we can with the park... The parkie we had there last year was very eager to see them on there...

I'm sure something can be sorted out, I remember a few years back when we (myself and our club (Corby) chairman) applied for a grant to get the Model Boat pond rebuilt at Wickies, the many hours spent down there prior to and during the refurb with the builders.
Then we had a fabulous opening day, a big buffet was laid on, one of the Wicksteed directors cut the ribbon and best of all they had all the Silverware on show from past IC races (talking about the 50's, 60's and 70's now...way before your time Andy %)). One of my club members even had his name on one of the trophies  :-))
There was a lot of enthusiasm shown by the park management, so lets hope its still there, and long may it last  :-))

No unlike NZ & OZ where Big 4 caravan have every thing in them Wikky park dose not. I seem to recall they was going to open some log cabins, but im not 100% sure. It dose have a loo block with showers, water taps, elesan disposale points. Thats it . All the rest you have to bring with you. There is a few Travel inns around that area which will be around £55.00 per room per night.

Kettering Travelodge is about a 10 min drive from Wicksteed Park, stayed there last year for the weekend. I've looked at the rates today and it's about £40 per room per night based on 2 sharing, you can book it and are still able to cancel upto 12pm on day of arrival usually. The new shower/toilet block on the camping area at the park was only opened last year and is excellent, we should be camping this year hopefully, Dave.  :-))

Sure we could squeeze you in somewhere, might have sleep in the awning. Better behave though and be good boy and not get too excited and overactive... O0

Why is Kurt comin?  There's a spare bed in the caravan for him, you can sleep outside with the boats ....... mind you, you'd probably enjoy that  {-)

Mind you Russ, if I remember correctly there was a certain member of our club their on his own last year with a two man tent, perhaps you could squeeze in with him  :}

NOTE TO ONESSELF........avail myself to the tea and coffee, avoid falling tents, And  laugh more than I did last year (which was a lot) GET deep fried  black pudding from the chipshop, and treat Steamboat Phil to a deepfried haggis. More liquid refreshmant to be drunk, and to get another picture of Phil in another compromising  position. More pictures of Martin, if he can stay still for more than  a minute.

Think that about covers it. Now if someone could remind me of this on the Mayhem weekend I would appreciate it!!!!

Gy might not have many working boats but it has one of the biggest fish markets
Even some of the BM fish is trucked up here to be sold alongside Peterhead and
Faeroese and Icelandic fish shipped overland and sometimes by air.

A few of us were discussing this event at this afternoons Dive-indoors event. Submarines seem a bit unrepresented at this bash, so a few of us pirates from the Dive-in crew may trundle along with our subversive weapons and wreak mayhem amongst the targets, if you can accommodate us!  %%
